What was your previous profession before becoming an internet café owner?

I was a Student Affairs Head at Interface Computer College

What motivated you to engage in the internet café business?

When we bought a property in Valenzuela there was no Internet Shop before, students and neighbors need to travel to rent computer for their school works and some related computer activities.  That is why my brother and I put up at first 3 units if it is viable to have a business inside the subdivision. After one month customers are falling inline and wait for their turn and that is the time we decided to add more units and services.

What is your personal assessment on being an internet café owner?

By giving a quality and priceless service to my neighbors and hearing good words from them thanking me for putting up such business inside our community. I like the chance to explore my other skills and knowledge about computers and the like. Sometimes I get tired of redundant activities in your shop.

Problems being encountered in your day to day operations of your internet café?

Sprouting like mushrooms computer shops inside the subdivision, as of this date we are now 6 computer shops here in our subdivision. How to maintain the quality service we are giving to our customers regardless of number of competitors. A scenario like: Upgrade the units or Buy new ones / to change some CRT to LCD or add Units. ISP problems

How do you handle or provide solutions to such problems?

Give promos and extra services to our customers. Always check the units in running conditions Think if upgrade or additional units is worth. Study your business for further knowledge in it

What are the different factors that contributed to your success as an internet café operator?

The support given by your families and friends  Be responsible owner, talk to parents and leaders from your area Search forums that will help you grow and knowledgeable. Pray a lot

What are your future plans with regards to your internet café?

To give extra services to my community such as payment center and learning area to some organizations or group.
